Spreadin the Real: Common confirms 'Sweet' directed to Drake

Common has been one of the most consistent solid hip hop artists for 10+ years (even during the Electric Circus era he was dope, i personally liked the Electric Circus album) ...his latest album The Dreamer/The Believer is dope and the track "Sweet" is getting much attention...this is due to the fact the Common's lyrics are directed to the OVOXO's Drake...I like Drake also but have to admit he is a little emo but his music and talent is undeniable (Take Care is also a great album though its more RnB than Hip Hop but its still ill) ...

check the video of Common on Sway's morning show talking about the track 'Sweet'...

Read this article about Exile talking about his latest projects...greatest news is the album he collaborated with Blu is nearly finished...peep it

Exile most recently released his new album 4TRK MIND, but is keeping busy elsewhere. Speaking with Exclaim.ca, the producer revealed that his new album with Blu - the follow-up to 2007's Below the Heavens - is finished, but that he “still wants to do another three new songs for it.” The statement echoes Blu's previous claims that the LP is completed.

Additionally, Exile is working on another LP for Emanon, his duo with Aloe Blacc. For the LP, he said that the “I Need a Dollar” singer will get back to his rapping roots. “Aloe's rapping again," he said. "It's definitely a little darker, a little more mature than the last record [2005's The Waiting Room]."

Exile also recently hit the studio with No I.D. to jointly produce a collaboration between Bow Wow and Talib Kweli. “Bow Wow seriously stepped up his bars,” said Exile.

Random Rant vol. 41: Free yourself, telling truth

I haven't ranted about anything for a while but the recent retarded, racist, non-sensible rambling of Hank Williams Jr. on Fox News morning show has sparked my latest post...Monday ESPN decided not to run the popular theme song for Monday Night Football by Hank Williams Jr. because he compared Obama to Hitler...

now let's be perfectly honest here and let it all out, the reason why you see the blatant disrespect to President Obama (not only by the people of the U.S. but by the people in government) is because a man of color is in power...of course you see people against the president's views in every president's term (a factor what makes the U.S. great)...Bush 43 got criticized a lot (rightfully so because of misguided decisions), Clinton was spoken about negatively because of his marital indiscretions (though I don't see how that would have effected his policies and performance on the job. In fact it didn't because we were thriving financially as a country [damn I miss .99 cent / gallon gas]) and Bush 41 was criticized because of his assumed ulterior motives for starting the gulf war...but I've never seen such unbridled hate, ill-advised insignificant criticism against a president...

you hear every other day how people think he's the anti-christ or he's ruining the country when in fact he's trying to implement policies that get 'shot' down regardless of what's in the policy...Fox News and other media says blatant slick racist shit about him way too often...why don't the Tea Party, super right wingers and other detractors just come out and say it "I don't like President Obama because he's black"...you might as well let it out and stop with all the slick backhanded talk...

P.S. - and what do you know Hank Williams Jr. has apologized...you know he's not sincere with the apology...what he said on Fox and Friends is what he honestly felt...I know he's trying to save the gig he's had with MNF for years but really why apologize if its not for real...and who's satisfied with a fake apology (this will be the topic for Random Rant vol. 42-Why apologize)

Spreadin the Real: Jay-Z freestyle 9/11/01

I remember when Jay-Z dropped the modern day classic "Blueprint" (I was a junior at Clemson Univ. when it came out. Dope ish) the same day as the tragic event of 9/11...he had a show during that time period and dropped this incredible freestyle at a concert (I remember hearing this on a Clue? mixtape, I was amazed)...peep the lyrical skill, cotdamn Jay is ridiculous...

here are the lyrics then the audio
Bootleggers, bombers, Bin Laden
I'm still crackin'
I will not lose, I simply refuse
I drop the same date as the twin towers
I show power
Still I show compassion for others
Sent money and flowers
Devote hours
I live in the struggle
I'm addicted to the hustle
I'm conflicted because, du'(de)
America, this land of mine
Is filled with prisoners
With the same plans as mine
So I'm a walking contradiction
On one hand I love my position
But easily I could have been in that prison
And no, I am not a Christian
Though I believe in God
But I don't believe in the devil
My beliefs are odd
If we the people was given freewill from God
How could He give the people freewill
Without giving you E-vil?
We will..hold it together
Believe in the Roc
Long after you leave the spot
Long after my breathing stops
My spirit remains vibrant
I will lead the flock
And that's the tip of the iceberg
You might hear Christ's words in my scriptures
But I only write it for my Niggas..

Spreadin the Real: Stories of the NBA from Johnny Bach

I saw this on a message board where someone posted it from a blog...its a story of a guy and his father talking to legendary coach Johnny Bach whom was an assistant coach for the Bulls during their first 3 championships...I read it and its a great read....its kinda lengthy but well worth the time...peep it

So my dad and I had dinner last night with former Bulls assistant coach Johnny Bach. 86 years old. Sharp as a nail. Definitely one of the coolest experiences. This guy’s knowledge about basketball and everything else is insane. Completely old school. So instead of trying to remember stories to tell all of you, I figured I’d put it in an email – that way not to forget and get into very good detail.

Johnny Bach personal file – Has been married 3 times. He has 5 sons with his first wife. Once the kids were all out of the house they didn’t get along. He was married to a flight attendant for a short time but then realized all he was doing was taking care of her kids while she was flying around the world. That ended quickly. Now, he is married to a woman 31 years younger. She is the top medical malpractice lawyer for Clifford, a top Law firm in Chicago. Both divorces took him for pretty much all he was worth. Needless to say, big Lar picked up the tab.

He was in the navy and served with many Marines in WW2. He had a twin brother that was killed at age 19 in the war…lost at sea. Loved that big Lar was a marine. Lots of crazy stories about that. He coached with or against just about every legend in coaching history. He got out of the college game because he hated the blatant cheating that went on. Frank Maquire even told him one time he would never accept a job unless he knew he had $200,000 in cash for him to available at all times.

He grew up in Brooklyn, playing against the Brooklyn Rens while growing up. An all black team from Harlem. He was one of the only white guys that would play against them. Kareem Abdul Jabbar is writing a book on the Rens. Johnny had a picture of the team that Kareem did not have. Kareem really appreciated this and has become great friends with Johnny, even though he wouldn’t give Johnny the time of day when Johnny tried to recruit him to Fordham vs. UCLA. He also now paints in his spare time and is evidently very good. He paints pictures for fallen marines’ families at the request of a medal of honor winner that he is friends with.

Here’s some Johnny Bach stories: He coached with the Bulls for the first three titles before he had a disagreement. After the third championship the Bulls had one more season in the Stadium before moving to the UC. Krause told Johnny, Tex, and Jim Clemons that the three of them would all get extensions before the team went to the new stadium for the 94-95 season. After the Bulls lost to the Knicks in 94, the Hue Hollins game as Johnny referred to it. There was a meeting 10 days after the season. All the coaches and management were in the room. Krause wanted to trade Scottie Pippen. He said he quit on the team and they didn’t want him around anymore. Johnny was the supreme voice against trading Scottie. He said he made a mistake, we all make mistakes. Krause wanted to put it to a vote – trading Pippen. Johnny called out everyone in the room saying, “if this needs to be put to a vote you’re all idiots.” They decided against it. A few weeks went by and Johnny and Krause sat down to talk new contract. Krause told him there wouldn’t be a new contract. He didn’t want Johnny around anymore. Johnny is as old school as they come. He told Krause, “you gave me your word.” (Which in Johnny’s day, your word is everything). Krause told him, “Show me that in writing.” Needless to say, Johnny despises Jerry Krause and didn’t hold his feelings back. Krause has tried to apologize to him over the years, but Johnny has always said to him, “don’t say a f’ing word to me.” So when I asked Johnny, “So all this stuff we’ve heard about Jordan, Phil, Pip hating Krause…” Johnny replied, “It’s all true.” Of all the people Johnny talked about, he definitely spoke with the most disdain about Krause.

Johnny spoke incredibly high about Tex Winter. Loves his Triangle offense. He even used the glasses on the table as the players to teach my dad and I the triangle. Classic.

Johnny believes you cannot teach someone to shoot. You can teach form and all that stuff, but it’s all about rhythm. Some guys have it, some guys don’t. He thinks what Rose has done with his shot is truly remarkable. It’s been all about hard work with Derrick Rose.

Speaking of the current NBA, here’s how Johnny answered some of our questions:

What’s missing with LeBron? Simple, a post game, he’ll never be anything until he gets his ass inside. And this current coach isn’t the guy that can do that. He thought Riley would be able to.

Who’s winning the title this year? He thinks this is a year that it’s very possible we see Oklahoma City running through everyone. He loves their coach. He believes the trade for Perkins was huge for them, and destroys the Celtics chances. He thinks the Bulls can win it as well, but just doesn’t know if Derrick’s body can hold up over the course of the long playoffs.

Who are the best coaches? Phil, Popovich, Scott Brooks, Thibadeau. He thinks Doc rivers is lacking. Likes the Pacers coach. He believes Doug Collins sees more during games than any coach he knows. But unfortunately that is his downfall. Doug lives and dies with every play of every game, just can’t be successful that way.

Johnny coached this past season as a volunteer at St. Ignatious. He doesn’t think he will next year cause he thinks the coach is an idiot. He had a chance to coach Illini recruit Nnana Egwu. Will he be any good I asked? Johnny said, “well he’s going to the wrong school. He should have gone to Northwestern. He’ll never see the court at Illinois.” So that brought up this:

What are your thoughts on Bruce Weber? He doesn’t have it. At some point you have to step up and take the blame. (Now, as you guys all know, I’ve always said, the thing that bothers me the most about Bruce is the blame game he puts on his team. When Johnny said that, Lar and I just started laughing…wow.)

Let’s get to some Bulls stuff:

As I said, he doesn’t know if D rose can hold up. He did praise Derrick, but also said Derrick couldn’t guard him at the age of 86. He’s gotten better, but still has a long way to go defensively. He thinks Boozer is a terrible defender, and that will be their achillies heel, but he also thinks Thibs won’t be afraid to sit him. He doesn’t understand the Bogans thing, which is good because no one does. He has a very good relationship with Paxson. All he would say though was that he was a hard-nosed and great player to coach.

Is/was Phil the real deal? Absolutely. Johnny spoke very high of Phil. With his best attribute being his ability to handle and get the best out of his players. When I asked Johnny about Rodman, Johnny said he didn’t think he could have coached him. But when I asked if Phil was the right guy for Dennis, Johnny said “without a doubt.” Phil knew how to get the best out of everyone. He decided early in the 1991 season that he would never have the starters play together in practice. Everyday he took Jordan and stuck him with the worst players. Then took the other 4 starters and played them against Jordan. He pitted Jordan against Pippen every day, and that’s ultimately what made them both so fantastic. On the flight home from New York after the bulls had lost games 1 and 2 in 1993. Phil showed the Bulls a Pink Floyd video, while Riley was showing his team general Patton stuff. During the video, Jordan got up and said, “Phil, you must’ve smoked some crazy sh*t back in your day.” The Bulls won the next 4 games.

BJ Armstrong? Very talented player, but unbelievably sensitive. Jordan used to tear him apart every minute. If BJ missed two shots in a row on passes from MJ, Michael would walk by the bench and say, “get his ass out.” BJ a very vain individual. He always made it a bigger competition with Paxson than it should have been. BJ would go insanely hard during warmup dribbling drills to try to make Pax look bad. Which one day prompted Phil to say, “BJ you’re one selfish cocksucker.” And as you guys know, the competition between BJ and Pax continued into the Bulls front office. When Paxson was given the GM job, BJ quit. Still pissed. That’s the reason he didn’t show for the 1991 reunion last month. Johnny did say, however, that BJ is behind the scenes with D rose, and he’s doing a great job of handling him and how he acts. So that’s pretty cool.

Bill Cartwright? Well turns out Cartwright was better than I thought. (I always thought he sucked). But Johnny praised Cartwright for his Willingness to beat the sh*t out of anyone. Hard picks, hard fouls, sharp elbows. Johnny said Bill might have taken three years off of Mark Price’s career just by the screens he put on him. He was a very good compliment to protect MJ and Scottie in the lane.

Red Kerr – One of the greatest people Johnny ever met. A true friend and a big time partier. Never got out of control but “boy could he drink.” Great player, great enthusiasm, great friend.

Rodman – Never coached him but had great respect for him. He said Rodman used to sit outside Pistons practices afterward with a shotgun to his head. “I’m lucky I never coached him, I probably would have told him to do it already.”

Scottie Pippen? Nothing but respect for Pippen. Great teammate. Great player. He was a thug when he came into the league, but really came around and they talk regularly now. Pippen and Jordan together defensively was as devastating a duo as there will ever be. Scottie and Michael used to compete on everything. Jordan used always claim his hands were bigger, but they weren’t. Scottie was very blessed down below. And that killed Michael. Johnny said, “you should have seen the girls pippen had waiting for him everywhere we went. Madonna used to pick him up in a limo with a hot tub every time we went to L.A.Michael used to tell Madonna he could satisfy her better, to which Madonna would tell him “not a chance.””

The youngest of 17 children, Pippen has had a tough battle with money. When you combine the fact that pippen signed a stupid long term deal in 1991, family members riding him, and a crooked investment where he had $20 million stolen from him, Pip was basically flat broke when he came back to the Bulls in 2003. Reinsdorf gave him a big deal and even paid him for the two years he didn’t play, which he didn’t have to do. Reinsorf is a loyal guy and Johnny nothing bad to say about him, but Reinsdorf obviously took Krause’s position back in 1995 so it’s not all rainbows, but he likes Reinsdorf. Pippen also married Larsa who comes from big time money. So he’s doing fine now.

Pippen and Jordan? They were good buddies. Scottie really benefitted from Michael pushing him every day in practice. After a while, you never needed to worry about the team working hard because Michael and Scottie worked the hardest and they were the leaders. Everyone had to follow.

Who was the better defender? Pippen was one of the best and most gifted defenders of all time. But MJ was the better defender. Michael could shut down anyone in the world for a 3 minute span. The best he’s ever seen. (I was pretty shocked by that, but man what does that tell you about MJ, unbelievable.) Jordan was the most ferocious competitor Bach has seen in all his years of basketball. Johnny said physically Jordan and Pippen were about the same as defenders. But when you add in MJ’s ruthlessness and trash talk, that put him ahead of Scottie. When Johnny was coaching with the Hornets in 1995 they had a good team. Glen Rice, Mourning, Johnson. Series was tied at 2 and Hornets had a chance to win game 5 in Chicago. On the biggest possession of the game, Mugsy had the ball with the Hornets down 1. Jordan backed off of him and told him: “shoot it you fu*king midget.” Mugsy shot it, didn’t come close. A year later Mugsy actually told Johnny Bach that he believes that single play ruined his career. His shot never recovered.

Michael Jordan??

Johnny said not to look past it, MJ is one of the smartest people he’s ever met in his life. Jordan owns the Air Jordan brand. The money from that is astounding. Jordan also only signs ten years deals with advertisers. With an MJ-only option to pull the deal at any time.

Did he retire because of gambling? Johnny said he didn’t know. But that he told Johnny and Phil first, and said he was gonna play baseball. MJ was going through a lot with the death of his father, who Johnny called a rogue. James was always involved with bad people and Michael constantly tried to help him. He was missing for 10 days before the Jordan’s even started really looking, because that’s how he was. It wasn’t the first time he went AWOL. Johnny told Michael that he was fine with him retiring and didn’t want him to become a washed up guy hanging on. When Johnny was hired with Washington in 2000 with Jordan and Doug Collins, Johnny begged MJ not to come back. When Jordan did, he told Johnny I’ll fire you if you don’t stop telling me I shouldn’t come back haha.

Concerning gambling, Johnny did say that MJ took him to VIP rooms where they gave MJ $3 million in chips. He saw MJ lose 3 mil and win 3 mil on many occasions…playing three hands of blackjack at once. Johnny also saw Patrick Ewing lose $3 million in two hours. MJ told Patrick, you’re a complete idiot, only I could possibly play 4 hands of blackjack at once.

Women? MJ used to tell Johnny that “Tiger Woods is an idiot. I tried to help him, but the kid’s gonna get caught.” (we all know how that turned out). In order for a girl to get to MJ, she needed to go through 4 undercover former narcotics detectives just to speak to Michael. She had to be approved by all 4 to make sure she wasn’t gonna say a damn word about MJ to anyone. So there’s MJ, not the greatest character guy, but he sure was pretty smart.

A couple MJ stories I’ll leave you with:

Story #1 – The day before game 4 of the Bulls Suns finals with the Bulls leading the series 2-1. Michael and Charles Barkley went golfing. They played 48 holes of golf. And Michael bought Charles a $20,000 diamond earring. Johnny asked MJ, “what did you do all that for?” Michael responded, “he won’t get in my way the rest of the series, what’s $20,000 to me? Charles thinks we’re great friends. I hate that fat fu*k.” Jordan dropped 55 in game 4 and Barkley never touched him once.

Story #2 – Jordan invited Johnny Bach (Johnny later told me they talk once a month, good friends) to MJ’s Hall of fame dinner. It was $1,000 per plate, plus airfaire, hotel, etc. Johnny straight up told Michael that he didn’t have the money. The next morning, a limo showed up, airfaire and hotel and dinner was paid for, along with other money to spend for the week.

Unbelievable.

Anyway, Johnny actually said he’d like to get together again, which would be great. Unreal experience. Hope you all enjoyed. There’s more stuff he said that I’ll try to remember, but that’s all I got for now.

I know I touched on this tip earlier when I did a tip of the week titled "No saggin your skinny jeans" but I have to revisit the issue...As you all well know that celebrities and stars can (and often do) dictate or influence fashion...the fashion that has been popular now for at least 2 years are skinny jeans on guys that you see on Lil Wayne, other young members of Young Money and other hipster rappers...I'm mean I can be aiight with a dude wearing slimmer jeans that the baggy jeans from the 90's but C'mon Son (shout out to Ed Lover)...here's the plain and simple tip, NO DUDES SHOULD WEAR SKINNY JEANS!...its feminine and you look retarded with skinny jeans that you have to jump into like a semi overweight female, squeezing into a pair of jeans that are 3 sizes too small for a night out with the girls...

i'm mean seriously look at the pic above of Lil Wayne at this year's VMA's...he couldn't put his wallet in his pocket if he wanted to...how in the hell is this close to portraying an image of a 'hard' emcee...i'm done, this fashion of dudes wearin female type clothes (super skinny jeans, deep cut v-neck shirts) is f*&$in me up

p.s. - I'm for real look at Wayne. That's a suspect pic!! I'm just sayin

Stuff of hilarity/Spreadin the real: Arsenio goes off

When the Arsenio Hall Show was on it was groundbreaking, revolutionary for minority talk show hosts and entertaining...he went off the air in the 90's (don't know how because everybody used to watch the show) but I hear he might be coming back to late night television...I don't know how successful he would be because that show might have just been lightning in a bottle...but here's a throwback video of Arsenio goin' in on a members of the Queer Nation...the show was so raw back then, wish I would see more stuff like this now...

p.s. - and how did we get to the point years later after the 70's - 90's that people are more sensitive and entertainment is more censored than ever...people need to get thicker skin and the higher ups need to stop censoring and editing every little thing

p.s.s - I have random rant coming soon, I know I haven't posted one in a while

Spreadin the Real: Uncle Luke spits that knowledge

I've been thinking this about Wiz Khalifa for a while...glad to see someone put some thoughts to 'paper'...peep the knowledge and game Uncle Luke drops in this column from "Miami New Times" news.....

(this was written by Luther Campbell)
Wiz Khalifa needs to have his head examined. The boy behind the hit "Black & Yellow" has lost his mind over a woman interested only in hogging his spotlight. For months, Wiz has been dating former stripper Amber Rose, whose claim to fame is that her ex-boyfriend is Kanye West. Khalifa even tattooed the girl's name on his hand. Now he's beefing with Kanye because West dissed Amber at Coachella this past April and then, just recently, at the Essence Festival in New Orleans.

But Wiz Khalifa broke a cardinal rule in the rap game. You don't date another rapper's ex-girlfriend. He is not alone. In Atlanta, Soulja Boy recently snatched Lil Scrappy's girl. Lil Wayne's ex Toya Carter tied the knot with some rapper named Memphitz earlier this year.

They broke the bro code. See, when a rapper makes a commitment to one girl, he takes the relationship seriously. Rappers aren't like celebrity football and basketball players, who pass around exes like mustard. You got Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Chad Ochocinco dating Evelyn Losada, who was engaged to former Miami Heat forward Antoine Walker. Hell, some of these motherfuckers don't even wait for a breakup.

Television star Eva Longoria caught her man, San Antonio Spurs point guard Tony Parker, banging his teammate Brent Barry's wife. Orlando Magic star Gilbert Arenas dumped his fiancée and baby mama Laura Govan after he caught her doing the dirty with Shaquille O'Neal. That is some incestuous shit. Despite the stereotypes, you rarely saw this kind of thing in hip-hop.

We rappers have always prided ourselves on not dating someone else's ex-girlfriends or ex-wives. This will come as a shock to some people, but if we have a relationship, it's with just one woman. Look at Jay-Z. He's been committed to Beyoncé for some time. Will Smith, Run-D.M.C., Ice Cube, Ice-T, and I are other examples of loyal, dedicated husbands in hip-hop.

Wiz Khalifa, like some members of his generation, has gotten soft. They are losing their focus. They can't spot a triflin' woman in the room to save their lives.

P.S. - Its too many simps out here in the world

I don't watch the vids from Jumpoff.tv but I may start doing so because I feel the same way they do on a lot of issues in the music industry...I think the a lot of the music (not all of it) pushed to the people on the FM radio airwaves is weak and hustle is rewarded more than the talent cuz the artists (if you wanna call them that) that are wack are rewarded for their hustle that gives them a pass on their talent (*coughs* Lil B)...peep the video, pretty insightful and entertaining

Spreadin the Real: Shyheim speaks briefly about the freestyle with BDK

Random Rant vol. 40: ATCQ - Midnight Marauders

(I loved the Midnight Marauders cover so much I made my interpretation of the cover)

I just watched the Michael Rapaport directed documentary "Beats, Rhymes & Life: The Travels of A Tribe Called Quest" (don't ask how I saw it but it was excellent) and I began to reminisce about ATCQ's 5 albums they released...I really got nostalgic when I started to hear a couple of songs from their 3rd album "Midnight Marauders"...in my opinion that was there best one, now this is due to the fact that I was first introduced to A Tribe Called Quest on this album...the previous 2 albums were stellar but this album was so dope...from the classic album cover (that i remixed with myself in it) to the incredible songs it was hip hop in its most inventive form...

I can remember the first time I heard the album...I was in the 7th grade (1994) riding in my older cousin's navy blue Toyota Camry...he was playing "Problems" from the cassette deck and I knew from there I had to go and pick up the tape (damn cassette tapes, that's a medium that's now a certified relic. Listen to one now and you wonder how this was considered high quality with all of the 'air' in the sound. Air, you know that low sounding 'shhhhhh' noise you hear.)...I went back and listened to the album again and just as it was in '94 its still dope...Q-Tip is an incredible producer and Phife sounds great over those jazz-infused beats...

Go download it, listen to the cd or even dust off your old tape and listen to the greatness of A Tribe Called Quest...

P.S. - the documentary finally cleared up the 4th member, Jarobi departure from the last 3 albums...i thought he got kicked out but he didn't, peep the documentary to see what happened (Michael Rapaport should pay me for all this free plugging i'm giving him)

Random Rant vol. 39: The Crucifiction of LeBron James

I was gonna rant about LeBron's questionable mental approach to high pressure situations but I decided to go a different route...I'm a LeBron fan (not a super fan and not a fan who thinks he's better than MJ. Never that!) and I noticed how he shied away from taking over the game in the 4th quarters of game 3-6...I can not defend his actions (or lack of actions) in the games but I do want to defend how he responds to the media and fans...Ok I understand how people don't like "The Decision" (though 9 million plus people watched it, including the new haters) and I understand people didn't like the coming out party/showcase for the Miami Big 3...but damn the way LeBron is being publicly castrated is ridiculous...

Since the Heat lost the Finals I'm hearing and reading all types of ridiculous comments...Jason Whitlock (writer/reporter) writes how the big 3 should be broken up...what kinda shit is this, they went to the Finals the 1st year together while having little team chemistry (they will gel better in the coming seasons) and he's talking about breaking them up?! C'mon Son! (word to Ed Lover)...then I heard some opinions how Coach Spo should be fired, seriously seriously...he coached 3 stars and low-level role players to the Finals in their 1st year together...this should not even have been discussed let alone considered...but LeBron is being criticized about everything...

he gets criticized about him not shooting the ball in the 4th (rightfully so I gotta agree), criticized about not answering the questions correctly, criticized about not putting all the blame on himself, criticized about predicting to win championships in Miami (isn't that the point of playing the game and the reason he left Cleveland), criticized about the way he walked off the court, criticized about what color suit he had on, etc. etc....I mean damn, he can do no right by the hall of fame players, current players, former teammates and owners (Mo Williams and Dan Gilbert are a bitch-made for their emotional tweets. Go here to read it), NBA fans, the media, I mean by no one....

Charles Barkley disagreed with 'Bron when he said that he's a villain...I disagree with Barkley (I enjoy Barkley on TNT and any other media outlet) because according to the bashing he's been taking all year, he is a villain in the eyes of many in the public...I think LeBron should embrace it and just have the us (Miami Heat) against the world mentality and simply say f**k the hateration (shout out to Mary J. Blige)...

Once LeBron wins 1 championship all of these critical comments and hate will go away (we've seen it with John Elway, Dirk Nowitzki, Michael Jordan, Peyton Manning) and mark my words all of the LeBron haters will turn back into lovers again...I don't really understand why all of the hate from fans and former players when he turned down all the money and stardom in Cleveland so he could play with a better collection of players for less money...keep your head up 'Bron

P.S. - Cleveland sucks because of all this emotional hate...get over it, he left because the organization sucks (Dan Gilbert mainly) and didn't give him any decent help for 7 years and he still took the Cavs to a Finals and 2 consecutive 60 win season with D-League players...did you see what they did this past season?! (finished 19-63 while setting the single season consecutive loss record of 26)...Cleveland has 2 of the top 5 picks in this year's draft, make some good picks and Shut Up! (in Adam Sandler voice)

P.S.S. - Cleveland sucks so bad and are so trivial that even the Mayor of Cleveland makes the Mavs honorary Ohioans. Stupid and childish. That's why the city hasn't won a professional sports title since 1964 with Jim Brown & the Browns. and they won't win won soon neither (Indians-been bad for a while, decent this season but falling quick, Cavs-stink, Browns-worst in AFC north)

Random Rant vol. 38: Confessions from a college graduate

As i sit here and contribute more blog posts to this 3 yr old blog i realize that college as a whole is bullshit...In the context of bullshit i mean going to college does not guarantee u getting a job...Hell it doesnt even give u a better chance of getting a job (unless your studying to become a lawyer or doctor...When i was in college they (meaning faculty and ideals of the college) sold me the same bullshit they are still selling kids in college now...The economy wasn't nearly as bad as it is now and it was difficult to get a job then (in 2004)...These universities and colleges do nothing but sell dreams and get money...In essence they are a business, thats it...The only thing they present to 90% of students is a wonderful life experience where you get to meet interesting, diverse people from all around the world...College mainly expands your social skills and social circle...

College is the perfect scheme to get thousands of dollars from parents and students to fund the higher ups in the board rooms of the universities and their perspective cities that college is located in...some other bullshit about college is the student athlete...now we all know (or should know) that about only 1% of the student athletes for these schools are going to play sports professionally,so they are kinda excluded in this part of the rant since they will be paid for their talents when they leave college...with that in mind why do these institutions act like they are doing the students/athletes a favor by saying 'your getting an education for free so don't complain about not getting paid'...these universities make money hand over fist off of these students...schools with large football programs are funding the entire athletic department making millions of dollars while the student athletes get jack shit...they are profiting off the athletes name/number (they sell the jerseys=more money), talent on the field/court (ticket sales=more money) and championship titles (if the school wins it helps with recruiting not just student athletes but regular students=more money)....the NCAA rules don't even allow the athletes to work...in my opinion its just legal slavery (profiting from cheap or free labor)...College=money

I loved my 5 years in college but as a whole it was some bullshit financially and career wise...it didn't help me get the job i'm at now and its kinda preventing me from getting a regular part time job (to supplement my low income) from Wal-Mart or somewhere like that because i'm 'over qualified'...what kinda shit is that!?

p.s. - Go Clemson! and read this article I found on the 'net about the same thing i ranted about: http://theurbanrevival.com/2011/05/20/is-college-necessary/

Stuff of hilarity: Tight ft. Coco Brown (Ms No Tonsils) - Dumpin D!ck/Still dumpin D!ck

yes you read right, that is the title of the 2 songs in this video below and the female rapper's other moniker she's known by is "Ms. No Tonsils" (that's super)...the lyrics are lackluster and the beat is great for strip clubs but the overall song is ehh, umm alright (2.5 out of 10)...this will not be a song I will listen to again but the video and most of the lyrics are funny...only decent part about this video is the scantily-clad ass laced all through the video...i'm only posting this cuz its entertaining...peep the vid and remember fellas "Dump yo d*ck in that h*e", WOW!....(the comedian at the end of the vid is pretty funny talkin bout this song)....

p.s. - I love these "BET Uncut" type videos. Pure hilarity. I miss that quality, entertaining programming BET had at 3 am.

Stuff of hilarity/Spreadin the real: There's still debate over Common at WH!?

Though Common already did his performance at the White House poetry slam, FOX news is still talking about how he shouldn't have been invited to the White House over the song he did about Assata Shakur about 4 albums ago (dope song by the way featuring Cee-Lo)...I swear this is so stupid how FOX news drones on and on about insignificant shit its pathetic...but John Stewart once again shows how trivial, hypocritical and retarded FOX news is when appears on Bill O'Reilly's show (btw I know its old but did you see how blatantly disrespectful O'Reilly was during the Super Bowl interview he had with Pres. Obama. He was condescending and bold as hell as an interviewer towards the head of state. I guarantee he would not have been that bold to Pres. Bush or any other Republican president)...peep the real hilarity...
