Nike Air Griffey retro in '09

2009 will be ill year for Nike releasing classic kicks...one of the kicks i've been waiting on Nike to release it looks like they will do it in '09...the Griffey's are soo ill, i've read that the black/white/emerald come out April 09 and the Blue in June 09...

Jay-Z - Blueprint 3 Release date!?

One of my favo-rite artists is the God MC. The release date for Blueprint 3 is Dec. 2nd according to Jay-Z.

Also Jay-Z has confirmed the rumor that he is working on his own version of "Swagger Like Us." He originally appeared with Lil Wayne, Kanye West and T.I. on the original, which is featured on T.I.'s upcoming Paper Trail. Guest verses from Young Jeezy, Nas and Andre 3000 have already been recorded for the Blueprint 3 version.

Random Rant pt.1: AJ 6 rings

Maybe I'm too much of a purist or maybe I'm getting older and more picky, but this is TRUE: Jordan Brand is 1) getting lazy 2) getting bad advice from the marketing group or 3) really really thinks this looks good...These kicks are simply hideous, it just a combination of all the great designs of classic J's with a incredibly stupid color combination...

Wow, that's all I can say...i think because of all of the variant sneakers hittin the streets with all these outrageous colors, JB trys to market to the folks that buy these 'variants'...please just stay to the course and release quality Jordans to customers...to all my jordan collectors who collect Jordans like baseball cards or buy because they are fresh, please don't buy these "MONSTRACITIES"...damn these look silly....

and I just realized I'm becoming the old gray haired baseball enthusiast/purist that doesn't want instant replay, interleague play or expanded playoff system just in relation to sneakers.

Krink markers are ill

i'm doin something new in the customize game...people have been doin the sneakers customizing for a while, but i've not seen artwork under the brim of a new era fitted...I'll upload some pics of the first 3 I've completed...

the markers I'm going to start using are the Krink paint markers, they look like they will work great but the are kinda expensive

Oil prices spiked more than $25 a barrel

NEW YORK (AP) - Oil prices spiked more than $25 a barrel Monday—the biggest one-day price jump ever—as anxiety over the government's $700 billion bailout plan battered the dollar and touched off frenzied buying of safe-haven investments including crude.

Light, sweet crude for October delivery jumped as much as $25.45 to $130 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange before falling back somewhat to trade at $123.77,up $19.22. The contract was set to expire at the end of the day, adding to the volatility; the October price began accelerating sharply in the last hour of regular trading.

Crude has gained about $40 in a dramatic four-day rally that has at least temporarily halted oil's steep two-month slide below $100. At this rate, crude is within striking distance of its all-time record of $147.27, reached in July.

The Nymex temporarily halted electronic crude oil trading after prices breached the $10 daily trading limit. Trading resumed seconds later after the daily limit was increased.

The huge rally was poised to shatter crude's previous one-day price jump of $10.75, set June 6.

Oil's sharp gains came as energy traders grappled with the implications of the government's proposed $700 billion initiative to stem the U.S. financial crisis by absorbing billions of dollars of banks' bad mortgage-related securities. Anxiety over the plan also sent stocks sharply lower Monday; the credit markets were calmer than they were last week, but still showing the effects of investors' nervousness.

"They're going to have to continue auctioning off a whole lot of Treasurys to finance these projects, so the dollar is going to suffer," said Matt Zeman, head trader at LaSalle Futures in Chicago. "Right now it's fear and anxiety driving people who want tangible assets.
