Random Rant vol. 22: Financial Faith

This random rant is the continuation from the earlier teaser titled "Religious Scammers"...i'm gonna rant on a broader subject here though, basically money and religion...I can't stand people who use religion and faith for their financial gain...in my opinion they are just as despicable as Wall Street fat cats who take your money, thieves that break into your house and tarot card readers (wow, tarot card and hand reading is the greatest scam on Earth)...

the televangelists, faith healers and other religious predators pry on the weak and battered by claiming they have a special power from God above...my view is if you have these 'special powers' and you are ordained by God then why are you charging God's people for your talents...these individuals are taking advantage of people in need and older folks' savings and little money they have by telling them that they can be healed just by the touch of their hand or by a magic piece of cloth or blessed water...and then they tell them to 'donate' money to the church...Jesus didn't charge people for his miracles so why should a regular human feel like he should gain financially from their so-called miracles...

it just sickens me that people can take advantage of disadvantaged people like that without flinching...and another thing I'm not comfortable with are huge conglomerate churches...now my feeling about these mega churches may stem from me being raised in a small country church in South Carolina (shout out to St. John Baptist Church on Springhill Road)...

but I just see these churches as religious businesses (some churches are like franchises, a McDonald's of the Cloth per se)...if a pastor or minister can afford private jets, Bentleys, Rolls Royces and million dollar homes then I think something is wrong...how and why are they getting 7 figure salaries for spreading the Word of God when some of them don't even have a job...how can you profit that much from being a minister?...now I'm not saying that pastors and ministers cannot live comfortably but damn Creflo Dollar (its crazy his last name is Dollar. Is that is real name?) is making more money from the church than a rookie 3rd baseman for the Atlanta Braves

...i just see some of the religious higher ups using faith to uplift their bank account rather than uplift the spirits of people who really need help...that's all i'm sayin..

holla,
