Random Rant pt. 5 - Ri"damn"diculous!...

Over the past I'll say 8 years mindless shit has been filtered in our everyday lives. This includes retarded non-creative songs (Soulja Boy - Yaah Trick Yaah), stupid scripted reality shows (Paris and Nicole Richie - Simple Life) and uninspired, non-witty movies (Epic Movie, Date Movie)...I don't know if people are getting dumber or writers, musicians, actors don't have anymore ideas and are putting out any"damn"thing...

I don't think its the latter because I've seen some creative movies and after sifting through the mindless music on the internet and radio, found some real gems (Blu and Exile - Below the heavens, damn that album is still so solid, also Murs for president)...so that brings me to people have gotta be getting dumber to accept this shit as entertainment...the thing that got me to rant on this subject is the television catastrophe that is Paris Hilton's My BFF...

oh my damn this show is completely horrible...not only is Paris Hilton a non-talented, socialite harlot, she stains my existance as a human by starring in a show basically about nothing...now this is not the genius premise of a show about nothing like Seinfeld (I was so late on how great that show was) Noooooo! Paris Hilton's show is about her finding a new best friend to hang out with...its so stupid because 1) the show is scripted like all reality shows, 2) she will never be "actual" friends with these people and 3) the contestants on the show actually, actually look up to "the salamander" like she is someone with talent or relevance or beauty or intelligence...

my complaint to all of this mindless drivel of a waste time, is why don't writers and such create something with substance...its just dumb 'ish' after more dumb 'ish'...i really feel wrong to the core watching stuff like this, I think I may actually start to get "stupider" (see its happenin already and i'm just writing about it) watching this 'ish'...people don't play into this uncreative 'ish', watch and listen to some good, quality 'ish'...here's a short list of stuff that's ill:

Good: American Gangster on BET, ESPN, Jay-Z, Joell Ortiz, XXL magazine, Tropic Thunder, The Dark Knight, a book by Russell Simmons, Kill Bill vol. 1 and 2, etc.

Bad: anything affilated with Paris Hilton, damn near everything on MTV, most reality shows (all of them are scripted, even though I watched Flavor of Love for the pure hilarity), any music that creates a hokey dance just for that one song and other retarded 'ish' i can't remember

Random Rant pt.4 - Bastardizing of classics

As I get my old grumpy man on, I must say I'm tired of the bastardizing of classics...what I mean by that is taking a classic thing and tryin to reinvent it...Jordan Brand messin up all the classic kicks that made the brand legendary....you have the AJ 3,4,5 and 11's, some of the nicest works of art to be worn on a foot being combined with other classic Nike sneakers...

the Air Force 1 by far is the best casual/basketball shoe ever created (in my opinion)...For the past year and better Nike as put the two shoes together to create a retarded lookin, fake shoe look...i don't understand why...i understand that the newer crowds of sneaker wearers (9 to 16 yr olds) don't even comprehend how dope the Jordans of yesteryear were/are and Nike is just tryin to make money, but still...its like someone took a Van Gogh painting and put a Picasso face on top of it and tried to pass it off as great inspirational art...

...all i'm sayin is if they (Jordan Brand and Nike) want to release their classics, do that but just not together as one ugly-ass shoe...

Ol' Orenthal!...OJ has just been elected to my personal Dumbass/Jackass Hall of Fame...this dude has been free for 13 years after an acquittal of a double murder...He luckily got away with a ill ass crime and instead of stayin out of the public limelight and layin low like Wacko Jacko, he was playin the role of "hey everything is Kool and the gang (ol skool 80's slang reference)"

...ol' Orenthal was going on TV shows doin interviews, tryin to write books (incredibly about the murders he got away with) and tryin to recoop past sports memorabilla from his yesteryears...that was just dumb...apparently OJ must have thought he was ok in the court of public opinion because he was actin like everybody was OK with his trial outcome...

Sorry to say "white america" has been tryin to catch this gimp leg former Heisman Trophy winner since the acquittal...Well its 2008 and 13 yrs to the day and 'they' finally got his ass, GOTCHA BITCH!!! (in Chappelle voice)...i don't feel sorry for ol' Orenthal at all (he played himself out (ol' 90's slang reference)), they gonna prolly lock this fool up for life for kidnapping and robbery charges...its almost like he wanted to get caught or somethin'...

I didn't think i would like the eggplant color but oh my damn this color is ill on the foamposite and flightposites...since i didn't get a chance to get the OG neon blue foamposites that released earlier this year, i'm def shellin out the 200 bones (damn that's absurd that i'll drop 200 on some damn hoop shoes) for the eggplant foamposites...gotta wait til feb of 09 (tho mom and pops will def drop them before then) to get em tho...

Random Rant pt.2: Palin = Smart as a fence post

If there is one reason not to vote for McCain it is because he has Sarah Palin as a running mate...I must admit i'm not a political genius but I can see if someone is completely unqualified and "over their skis" to hold a political office...i saw it when George W. Bush was elected that he was a numbnut and I can see it now the Sarah Palin is retarded...just look at her interviews (which are very very limited) she has done...the one with Katie Couric, she just stammers over her answers which tells me that she doesn't have a CLUE of what she's talkin bout...
