Innovations: MIDI pro adapter for Rock Band

On the heels of the annoucement of Activision disbanding the Guitar Hero division in the company (no more Guitar Hero releases and possibly DJ Hero is going to stop because they are going to lay off people in the DJ Hero division like the did in the Guitar Hero division. The sales were declining also for Guitar Hero), Rock Band is continuing to strive...Mad Catz, the well known 3rd party hardware company released a MIDI pro adapter for the Rock Band...this basically means if you already on a keyboard or guitar with a MIDI connection (as most do) you can play the instrument you already own for Rock Band...this is a great hardware piece...peep the article:

Talk about just in time. With merely weeks to go before Mr. Claus makes his wintry journey 'round the globe, Mad Catz has decided to finally ship a peripheral that was introducedway back in June. Without a doubt, the MIDI Pro adapter is one of the more intriguing music game accessories to hit the open market, enabling Rock Band 3 owners to use mostMIDI keyboards and drum sets with the title. The box is shipping as we speak for Sony's PS3 and Nintendo's Wii, and the Xbox 360 variant should be headed to Best Buy in the coming hours. If you'll recall, this guy's also designed to work with the forthcoming Rock Band 3 Squier guitar / controller, and it even features a velocity sensitive adjustment for MIDI drums designed to reduce cross-talk during play. At $39.99, it's a no-brainer for those who already own a MIDI instrument or two, but we just might be more excited about the hacking possibilities than anything else. DIYers, get at it!

Innovations: Microsoft Kinect

The Nintendo Wii has ushered in a new side of gaming when they came out with the remote...Sony will have their version, Playstation Move and now Microsoft will have their version with the Microsoft Kinect...the difference between Microsoft's technology and Sony & Nintendo's is there are no controllers...its motion sensor just goes off of your movement...this is ill, peep the video to see what I mean...(i'm a playstation guy but i might consider getting a 360 since this will be available and Microsoft will release a slim version of the 360 also. Plus i'm pissed that the PS3 40 gb version is not backward compatible to playing PS2 games, that doesn't even make sense. I don't know how i didn't know this especially since the PS3 has been out since '06. I tried to play Mortal Kombat: Armeggedon and couldn't play the shit)...peep it

Innovations: Playstation Move

I don't know why I had NO clue Sony was creating a motion controller (like the Nintendo Wii's controller)...it actually was show last year in June but i still had no clue til i read the article about EA releasing Tiger Woods '11 (i heard there will be another golfer on the front of the cover, Tiger might not even be on it) and they said it will incorporate the Sony Playstation Move controller when it releases in June '10...it looks like according to the demo that Sony had at E3, it is better technically the Nintendo Wii's controller...just peep the vid and be amazed....
