NBA season 10-11 anticipation - Shaq still got it?

I can't wait for the NBA season to start...this may be the most excited i've been for the start of a NBA season since the Bulls were running the 90's...one thing i have to think about again was Shaq signing with the Celtics...at first I thought Shaq is on his last leg so why would Boston pick up another aging veteran who can play but does not have the durability to play at least 75% healthy for a full season...well i might eat those words cuz looking at "Shaqtus" on his Shaq vs. show when he raced Tyson Gay, looks like he still has some athleticism in those bones...check the vid (didn't know D. Tip of the Week #13: Don't use the N-word

This conversation comes up every so often in casual conversations privately and publicly amongst mixed groups of people...here we go, the rule when it comes to using the N-word (nigga or nigger) is as simple as this: if you don't have melanin in your skin then you can't publicly (cuz i know people use it private all the time) use the N-word...don't try to figure out why black people or latin american people (puerto ricans especially) can use the word...or try to use the rationale that you should be able to use the word cuz Chris Rock says it on his standup specials or damn near every rapper says in on a song...you just can't say it

people with melanin can use the word (i'm speaking bout black people mainly) simply cuz we can....that's it no more no less...I liken the use of the N-word to I can talk about my mom but you damn shonuff (shout out to Shonuff from The Last Dragon cult classic) better not say not one derogatory statement about my mom, its just some shit you just are not allowed to do...this tip stems from Dr. Laura, a radio personality speaking about the use of the N-word...peep the audio clip

The Nintendo Wii has ushered in a new side of gaming when they came out with the remote...Sony will have their version, Playstation Move and now Microsoft will have their version with the Microsoft Kinect...the difference between Microsoft's technology and Sony & Nintendo's is there are no controllers...its motion sensor just goes off of your movement...this is ill, peep the video to see what I mean...(i'm a playstation guy but i might consider getting a 360 since this will be available and Microsoft will release a slim version of the 360 also. Random Rant vol. 26: People are A$%holes pt.2

Here's the 2nd installation of the people are assholes rant...with the developments of oil spill and the large oil company (BP) trying to fix the mess they could have prevented, brings me to the point that money creates larger assholes (A*$hole + Big money = Larger A#$hole)...We all know that money runs the world but I think we are getting to a point money controls every facet of our life...i read about how BP neglected aging equipment, pressured employees not to report problems and cut short or delayed inspections to reduce production costs...i understand that the point of a business is to make money but damn these oil companies are already making PROFITS in the BILLIONS of dollars...

the higher ups in the oil companies could give a F*$& about safety and environment (pertaining to if there's an oil spill it would ruin the ecosystem in the ocean therefore f'n up the food supply for seafood lovers)...they just care about the bottom line, profits!...i wanna make crazy amounts of money like the next man but if it comes at the expense of seriously hurting or killing people (workers have died on the oil rig and workers are having difficulty breathing trying to clean up the spill) then i don't want it...

which brings me to the next point, war...the people that fund and start wars are complete rhinoceros pizzel (quote from Coming to America, Semmi said it)...they don't start wars to protect the country or give people freedom from tyrannical governments, no they do it because you can make cold hard cash from wars...these f$&*ers could give 2 cents about how the people in war are living (this includes soldiers, soldiers families, civilians in the country of the war)...they just know they are going to make a millions and billions of dollars...this current Iraqi Freedom fiasco is now at a cost of a TRILLION dollars to taxpayers (damn I hate taxes [sales, car, luxury, food, alcohol. Surprisingly there's no tax on gas, interesting])... imagine the money war companies are making (Tony Stark would have made a killing this past decade if he were a real person)...fuck these dicks...

p.s. - We should get out of "Vietnam 2.0" (the current war we are in) because I've come to the conclusion that these middle eastern dudes will fight forever until the end of time and you can't win (they will kill themselves at will and raise their kids to do the same. How can you fight that!?)...also i don't think that that part of the world needs or wants a democratic, free will society like us so we should just leave em alone and cut our losses...

Tip of the Week #11: Don't aggravate restaurant workers

This is a tip that is beneficial to your health well-being...when you go to a fast food spot, family restaurant, mom and pop restaurant refrain from complaining incessantly about the food...now i understand if they messed up your order completely and you want the waitress, drive-thru attendant or cashier to fix the order...don't give them a nasty attitude and complain that you're order is not what you wanted...there's a way to be respectful so they can give you what you want

...i say be respectful and show a little decorum because i always fear and think that those dudes in the back preparing your meal may get ticked off because the food keeps coming back and might do vile things to your food...you know like spit in it, drop it on the floor, shit it in it, drop bird poop in your salad, piss in your lemonade, you know stuff like that...just kindly ask the waiter/waitress to give you what you requested instead of giving attitude...(i don't even like to eat with people who complain about their food all the time to the waiters cuz i think they might f- up my food. Just wait til my food comes to the table then you can complain all you want)

and for godsakes sometimes it ain't that hard to just take the pickles off of your burger if you didn't want them, instead of sending it back for them to take off 3 pickles

We are now in the middle of '10 and approaching the beginning of the summer album releases....most anticipated for the summer of '10: Drake - Thank me later, The Roots - How I

got over, Nicki Minaj's release and The Game - R.E.D. album (don't expect anytime soon since Interscope pushed the album back indefinitely)...well Drake's album Thank me later as already leaked 15 days before its official release and I must say that its well worth the wait (since '09 when "So Far Gone" mixtape dropped)...the album is definitely solid, its an album you can listen to without skipping any tracks...

All the tracks are original, fresh and entertaining...I noticed the hate on Drake (on the 'net and in the streets) and I don't see why because he can actually rap with thought provoking, insightful lyrics...then to add he can actually carry a note without using autotunes over creative beats...another piece of music to check for is The Cool Kids latest mixtape venture with Los Angeles Leakers named Tacklebox....

the tacklebox has all new tracks with that old school 80's feel while Mikey Rocks and Chuck Inglish spit their fashion riddled, sports reference raps...definitely download this mixtape (this 'tape gave me some satisfaction because i was saddened by the release of Young Jeezy - Trap or Die II. Trap or Die II seemed too redundant [beats sounded similar] though some tracks are good) ...so go download or buy Drake's album (on June 15th) and d'load the Cool Kids mixtape....

p.s. - Wiz Khalifa's OJ and Kush mixtape is worth a listen or two also

Tip of the Week #10: A little cologne/perfume is enough

This little tidbit tip goes out to broheims and the ladies...When you wear your cologne/perfume remember less is better...there is no need to spray cologne on your shirt 5 times while spraying twice on your wrists while spraying twice on your neck...there is absolutely no need to bathe in your fragrance...just know that after 3 sprays the refreshing smell starts to smell like revolting sinus clearing funk...the point of cologne/perfume is to have a scent not to have a smell that's a part of you...

Don't you hate when some old lady is wearing the worst old school perfume like Stetson (or some other gawd-awful fragrance)...and they have so much on that when they pass you in the hallway you're still smelling it 5 minutes after they left you...too much cologne/perfume does not give off the lasting impression that is pleasantly memorable...just remember 3 sprays or dabs is enough...trust me that girl or guy your trying to attract will smell you...

...btw i still have a bottle of Curve for men that was purchased for me 7 yrs ago because i don't wallow in cologne when i put it on...

Random Rant vol. 25: Bad rap in public

You know sometimes when a comedian gets on stage and they go through their set and it's a complete bomb....you know when none of the jokes are funny, no one is laughin' and you can sense that the comedian is diggin deep to get the audience to at least chuckle...i don't know bout yall but I get a feeling that I feel bad and embarrassed for the poor soul..it's a weird feeling...i get that same feeling when I see people who rap horribly (either a real rapper or a person joking around) in public...

^^^This demonstrates my point. Damn this is bad and hilarious all at the same time (Jamie Foxx is a fool).

I don't know what it is but it hurts my soul when I see an old white dude on a news station or something start to rap in a joking fashion...its soooo bad to the point where I feel embarrassed for the dude even if he doesn't feel bad about himself...when I used to watch 106 & Park's Freestyle Friday (back in early 2000's when it was a little tolerable to watch. When Jin and Poster Boy was killing it) and a weak rapper would spit and was terrible, I really felt bad for the dude like damn I know your boys are clowning you...

I must give a tip pertaining to this subject...please people if you have no rhythm or don't listen to hip hop regularly or you think Yung Joc's "Its goin down" is new music (that's so 4 years ago [Valley girl impression]), don't rap in public for your own dignity...its sounds worse than people trying to sing whom are terrible because because because........well just because it just sounds bad...here's a video to explain what I mean...

Random Rant vol. 24: People are A$%holes pt.1

This is a rant that's been brewing for a while...its been brewing so long that I know that this will have to be broken up into several parts, so I present to you part 1...When I say people are assholes I not only mean people in the contiguous North American continent, I mean across the entire world...I think communists and dictatorship countries are assholes...the people that run these types of governments just control and tell people how to live, what to do and how they should think...now I must admit people in large groups are simple and most of the time stupid people but that does not give one person or small group of individuals the right to have total (or damn near total) authority of their lives...

for example in China they control the content you can view on the internet...its not like they are monitoring and condemning people from viewing dangerous terrorist content, you can't view adult entertainment there....so dictatorships and communists government officials are assholes...

another asshole is this lady I heard about in the news a few months back...A woman was out with her friends and she met a guy then left the club (or bar) with him...self-conscience about what her friends were thinking and saying about her leaving them behind for some late night love, the woman later accuses the guy of rape...this innocent man was sent up to the 'big house' for 4 years...after 4 years of imprisonment the woman finally admitted that she lied and he was released from prison...this woman is a complete asshole and should be sent up for at least 10 years...

why she's a asshole is because she blamed a innocent man of a heinous crime that no matter if he is innocent he's still looked at as a rapist (some people still refer to Kobe Bryant as a racist and he was completely innocent)...then he lost 4 years of his life he will never get back...my definition of a asshole is as follows: 1) being a complete jerk for no good, specific, logical reason 2) being a jerkoff for personal gain or 3) to be difficult simply for the fact for being difficult...so Communists, Dictators and this vile woman fit the definition...

I don't know why I had NO clue Sony was creating a motion controller (like the Nintendo Wii's controller)...it actually was show last year in June but i still had no clue til i read the article about EA releasing Tiger Woods '11 (i heard there will be another golfer on the front of the cover, Tiger might not even be on it) and they said it will incorporate the Sony Playstation Move controller when it releases in June '10...it looks like according to the demo that Sony had at E3, it is better technically the Nintendo Wii's controller...just peep the vid and be amazed....

Tip of the week #9: He is not your friend!

This is a tip to females for all my dudes that try to tell their female (girlfriend, fiance or wife) about the dudes she claims is her really good friend...This is not to say that females and males cannot be friends but if a dude is texting and calling you fairly consistent then he's not only your friend ladies!...he is a dude that if you gave him the chance, he would f*** the brakes off of your hoo hah (hoo hah is slang for vagina)...he can be nice and seem like the best friend ever but don't get fooled, he 'wants' you...

to my fellas if you're not skeptical of that male friend that always texts and calls your girl who is not gay, be skeptical...cuz you should already know he is campaigning for that hoo hah...put your foot down and let it be known that is not acceptable (i almost sound like Ike with the last line)...

Tip of the Week #8: Don't chew with your mouth open

This tip of the week is again a cosmetic tip...i'm by no means an etiquette coach or teacher but rather a person that knows what is wrong to do around other people....for gawd's sake (that's the southern accent way to say God) when you're eating around mixed company chew your food with your cotdamn mouth closed...i understand if you're with your boys and yall just chillin but when you're around a female or your moms chew your food with your mouth closed...

the main reason i'm givin this tip is cuz when i'm around some females who chew with their mouth open it aggravates the piss outta me...not cuz its improper it because its annoying to hear someone smackin on their frappin' gums...plus you allow the chance that food can be ejected from your pie hole which is super filthy...to close this blog entry, just remember to close your freakin mouth when you chew your damn food...

p.s. - for some reason when people eat chips the crunching noise annoys me too...even when someone chews with their mouth close that noise still annoys me...amazingly it doesn't annoy me when i eat chips

Black History Fact: 1st Black pres.

Last year i gave yall a little fact for Black History month speaking about the rocket scientist who invented the famous Super Soaker water gun (fun times back in the day with the Super Soaker)...this year I hafta acknowledge our current president, Barack Obama for being the 1st black president in the United States 200+ yr. history....

I was fortunate (and I was cold as a witch's tit) to be in Washington D.C. at the inauguration for President Obama in 2009...it was a momentous event and i'm glad to have pictures and videos of my mom and I at the event...so shout out to Barack Obama and family for becoming the 1st president and family in the White House...that's black history

Tip of the Week #7: Note to creepers-Don't leave evidence

In this edition of 'Tip of the week' I will give a piece of advice on creepin' (ie - cheatin)...now this is sort of a bad thing to promote but if you're gonna do it do it right...take notes from Mr. Woods (Tiger that is)...the news came out recently that he initially got caught cheatin' from his cell phone text (damn Tiger was slippin' badly)...Elin (his wife) saw that he was textin' Rachel Uchitel on his regular phone...and we all know about the infamous voice mail and it may come out that he might have been emailing these chicks...

so the advice i give is, if you're gonna cheat don't leave ANY evidence behind...that means don't leave any digital trails...that includes emails, cell phone texts or voice mails on cell or land line phones...fellas, remember that females save everything...also note if you leave a voice mail, send a text or email that even if its deleted it is still available for retrieval...if your girl is a super sleuth she may contact the phone company to retrieve any text or voice mail...

so in summation don't write an email, send a text, leave a voice mail or even write down numbers and names on paper if you're trying to get loose on the sly tip...its just stupid to send a text or voicemail unless you wanna get caught...

Joell Ortiz, is a Puerto Rican rapper from Brooklyn, NY...He initially signed to Dr. Dre's Aftermath label but his official retail release "The Brick (Bodega Chronicles)" on Koch...in April of '08 he left the label (Aftermath) and joined the MC supergroup, Slaughterhouse (featuring Royce the 5'9", Joe Budden & Crooked I)...Slaughterhouse released the self-titled album in '09 and Ortiz released an official mixtape entitled "Road Kill" also in '09...his next official retail album is supposed to be release this year March 23 called "Free Agent" on E1 Music imprint...

Tip of the Week #6: Handle your alcohol

This is directed not only to girls but also to dudes...there is nothing worse when you're out in the bar, restaurant, club or house party and you have to deal with a drunk, out-of-control retard that doesn't know their limit...its even more aggravating when you have to 'babysit' someone that came with you to the event that's blistered...if you're over the age of 21 you should be able to know you're limit by that age...some (probably most) people started drinking well before the legal drinking age so you should know what you can & can't drink and how much you can & can't drink...

it makes no sense why you should be so drunk to the point of blacking out while walking if you're over 21...now for people younger than that i understand your ignorance with the alcohol consumption but older folks, as Ed Lover's famous youtube videos quote "C'mon son! Get the f#%* outta here with that bulls**t"...i don't get aggravated by damn near anything but this pisses me off when i have to deal with someone i don't know acting stupid as all hell or when i have to 'babysit' someone that should control their 'assholish' actions...Remember kiddies-HANDLE YOUR ALCOHOL...

btw, this tip almost sounded like a Random Rant...

Random Rant vol. 23: The voice you hear when you read

This rant is so random to the point where its stupid....but anyway, i was reading Kanye West's small coffee table type book entitled "Thank You and You're Welcome" (interesting book with Ye's thoughts and ideas) and i was thinking 'what's the voice other people hear when they read'...the voice i hear is my own but not nearly as heavy as my real voice...but when i read some silly books like a Dr. Suess' book i hear a cheesy voiceover guy's voice (not nearly as good as the eternal Dan LaFointaine voice) rhyming...

i wonder if some people's voices they hear when they read are like the phone operator's voice when you dial a number incorrectly or a James Earl Jones voice or a elementary teacher's voice...maybe some people hear a inspiring voice that sounds like the voiceover guy that's on those self help tapes...

i know this rant is so off the wall but i was reading and thought this good to talk about...

Tip of the Week #5: Dudes stop sex-ting

This is another tip for dudes again...now i don't see anything wrong with women sexting (its kinda nice) but for dudes this is unacceptable...for 1) it looks kinda wack for a dude to send a picture of himself with his shirt off 2) you can get caught up sending compromising pictures of yourself to a woman...a female may clown you by showing her friends your pic by saying "look at this fool sending me a pic of his naked chest"...now you're the stupid guy that sends pics of himself to females...3) its kinda feminine

guys just don't 'sext'...also if you're creeping with another female, i would advise you to not send the female you are creeping with texts...believe me females save everything (pics, texts, voicemails)...sending texts will get you caught up, take note from Mr. Woods (Tiger that is)
